Two out-of-state fugitives wanted on indecent assault and battery charges on a child were arrested on April 25 in Hardwick and Stowe.
Hardwick police and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Jasmine Figueroa-Safford, 36, at her place of employment on South Main Street in Hardwick. She was wanted for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 in Massachusetts.
Stowe police and U.S. Marshals arrested Jonathan Gonzalez-Santana, 35, at his workplace on the Mountain Road in Stowe on warrants for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and reckless endangerment of a child in Massachusetts.
Figueroa-Safford and Gonzalez-Santana moved to Vermont from Massachusetts in February 2024.
Both subjects were held without bail and jailed at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility. Both were arraigned Friday as fugitives from justice.
