Marijuana Arrests

The Vermont State Police have arrested two Lamoille County residents on
separate occasions for cultivating marijuana.
Police obtained a search warrant for the residence of Maureen Keefe, 36,
of Wolcott on September 15. At Keefe's residence, on Elmore Pond Road,
Police found 137 marijuana plants in an indoor grow operation, with
another 10 marijuana plants growing outdoors. Keefe was arrested and
charged with felony cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana.
Following a brief investigation, the VSP also issued a search warrant at
the residence of Scott David Freeman, 36, in Morristown on September 17.
Police found 17 plants at his property on Sterling Valley Road and an
undetermined amount of processed marijuana. Freeman was also charged
with felony cultivation and possession of marijuana.
Both Freeman and Keefe were processed and released to return to court at
a later date. The Lamoille County Sheriff's Department and Morristown
and Stowe Police Departments aided the VSP with the investigation.
