Stowe Flooded

by Ben Hogwood

A thunderstorm that struck the Moscow area of Stowe on Monday, July 12,
dumped four inches of rain on the area and caused damage to roads,
houses and the Stowe Bike Path.
The storm hit parts of Stowe at approximately 4:30 p.m. and hovered over
the area for an hour. Luce Hill, Nebraska Valley, Barrows and Trapp Hill
roads sustained the greatest damage in the storm. The back road from
Moscow to Trapps was still closed as of 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14,
with Luce Hill being open only for residents who live along that road.
Other roads have just gone down to one lane, according to the Stowe
Police Department.
