For the third year, a coordinated effort involving firefighters and law enforcement in Lamoille and Chittenden County has netted holiday gifts for youngsters in the Vermont Children’s Hospital at Fletcher Allen.

The Vermont State Police, most notably those in the Lamoille County outpost  and Morristown Police Department joined with Colchester Police, Burlington Fire Department and the U.S. Marshals Service in the annual toy collection.

The toys were delivered to the Children’s Hospital on Monday, December 16, with the help of Santa and his elves.

The organizers of the event would like to express their appreciation to the many local businesses that helped make the holiday a little brighter for the children and their families. Those who made significant contributions include: Jolley Corporation, Tractor Supply of Morristown, Deb’s Place, Jack Corse Fuels, Aubuchon Hardware of Jeffersonville, Jay Peak, Smugglers’ Notch Ski Resort, the Wilson Family, Big Lots of Morristown and Power Play Sports.
