The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department is looking for information regarding an incident where a chunk of snow and ice slid off a vehicle and hit another in the other lane.

According to the press release, Heidi Burbank was traveling north on Route 100 in the vicinity of Common Acres Campground and Casella Waste Management when a block of ice and snow came off a tractor trailer heading southbound.  Burbank attempted to avoid the ice, but it struck her windshield, smashing it and doing damage to the roof of her Volkswagen.

Burbank told police there were other cars behind, LCSD is in hopes one of those drivers may be able to provide information about the tractor trailer.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department at 888-3502.
