HP Teen Featured with VT Philharmonic

The Vermont Philharmonic will be on the road performing at Saint Michaels College on Saturday, February 2, and then back home at the Barre Opera House on Sunday, and both shows will feature a 17-year old from Hyde Park.

Aliza Silverstein, winner of the Borowicz Concerto Competition, will be performing Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto: Allegro Con Brio with the orchestra, under the direction of Lou Kosma, conductor.

Also performing will be the Vermont Philharmonic Chorus, with Lisa Jablow, chorus director.

Saturday night’s show will take place Elley-Long Music Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Sunday’s matinee will begin at 2 p.m.
