Law enforcement officials have arrested two individuals from Hyde Park on drug related charges. On Monday, December 23, members of several local law enforcement agencies participated in a jointly undertaken drug bust at 230 Church Street and took two individuals, 56-year old George Goins and 30-year old Amber Wells, into custody.
The drug bust was the result of an investigation into the distribution of narcotics in the Lamoille County area. Police concluded the investigation by executing a search warrant at the address of Goins and Wells. After both individuals were taken into custody by law enforcement officers, Goins was charged with two counts of sale of narcotics while Wells was charged with aiding in the commission of a felony.
Evidence of the sale of narcotics was uncovered and seized as a result of the execution of the search warrant. More charges could be leveled as the investigation continues. Both Goins and Wells were processed following their arrest and released with citations to appear in Lamoille Superior Court – Criminal Division on Wednesday, February 19.
The law enforcement departments involved in the execution of the search warrant included members of the Vermont State Police, Morristown Police, Stowe Police, and the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department.
