Vermont Business Magazine has released their annual list of the top 100+ Vermont-based businesses and four from Lamoille County have made the cut.
For the second straight year, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters tops the list with $3.86 billion. The National Life Group was the only other business to top the billion dollar mark, with $1.78 billion.
Vermont Electric Co-op came in at 43rd on the list with revenues of $73.5 million. Copley Hospital was 55th and Smugglers’ Notch Resort was 56th, with $52.3 and $52 million respectively. Also making the top 100 was Johnson State College with $23.6 million in revenues, good for 85th place.
The list included businesses not making the top 100, including CCS Contractors at 105th, with $16.5 million in revenues; Stowe Electric at 121st ($11.5); Jack F. Corse, Inc. at 125th ($10.8); HA Manosh Corp at 136th ($8.5); Walker Construction at 164th ($5); HMC Marketing 168th ($4.5) and High Mowing Seeds at 172nd ($4).
High Mowing Seeds also made the top 10 list of fastest growing companies over the last five years.
