A Pumpkin Harbor Road, Cambridge,  mobile home was considered a total loss after a fire on Friday morning, November 16.

According to a Vermont State Police press release, the fire was reported at about 11:30 a.m. by the trailer owner, Texx Luce.

Luce had been working under the trailer with a hand held torch when a portion of the trailer caught on fire, according to the press release from VSP Detective Sergeant Jeremy Hill.  Luce attempted to put the fire out with water, but was unable to extinguish the flames.  He, his girlfriend and a toddler were able to get out without receiving any injuries.

The Cambridge Fire Department was on the scene within about 10 minutes, according to the press release.  The fire department quickly extinguished the blaze but the trailer was ruled a total loss with damages estimated at approximately $2,500.

An origin and cause fire investigation by the Vermont State Police Fire Investigation Unit was requested by the Cambridge Fire Department and the fire was ruled to have been the result of the home owner working on the mobile home.
