An accident occurred on Thursday, November 29, at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Route 100 in North Hyde Park village. The accident happened when a red Ford Taurus being driven by Antonio Cassidy, of Shelburne, struck a residence on Route 100.
Upon arriving at the scene deputies from the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department found Cassidy being treated by members of Northern EMS. An investigation by the officers allowed them to ascertain that Cassidy had been en route to the emergency room for a medical condition when he lost consciousness and went off the left side of the south bound lane on Route 100 and struck the residence.
Cassidy was taken to Copley Hospital, where he was treated and released. He suffered no injuries in the actual crash.
