Snow Collapses Area Barns

“We were out there shoveling until 11:30 p.m.,” said Hyde Park farmer Rocky Miller, while looking over the damage caused when heavy snow collapsed two sections of his barn on Cleveland Corners Road. “You couldn’t see your hand in front of you, the cold and the snow would freeze your eyelashes shut.”

CFD Aids in Snowmobile Rescue

CAMBRIDGE – During the height of the Valentine’s Day Blizzard two snowmobilers became stuck on the VAST trail network between Cambridge and Bakersfield, requiring volunteers through the efforts of the Cambridge and Bakersfield Fire Departments to retrieve the two sledders. Continued on page 2
