Wolcott's Third School Bond Attempt

WOLCOTT ­ While construction prices have been climbing dramatically in the past several months, the Wolcott School building committee has been hard at work looking for ways to cut costs to a much-needed school addition. This week, the school board plans to sign a bond warning for a significantly scaled-back project. School directors hope the community will pass this, its third try at a school construction bond. Justin Epchook gets air to spare at SkateFest & SmokeOut 2005 at the Johnson SkatePark and bike track on Saturday, September 24. The fifth annual festival to celebrate riding skills and substance-free sports was sponsored in part by the Lamoille Valley Tobacco Task Force.

Boil Order Lifted

MORRISVILLE ­ Last weekıs boil water order for the Morrisville Village water system was lifted late Thursday, September 29, as expected. MW&L Superintendent Scott Corse predicted the order would be lifted Thursday, after a system water test came back clean on Tuesday of last week. However, the state requires three days in a row of clean tests before such an order can be lifted.

Wolcott Recreation Park in Works

WOLCOTT ­ The Wolcott Recreation Committee is working to create the town's "first ever recreation park." Committee members have applied for a state grant to cover one-quarter the cost of the project. Now they are asking for
volunteers to help clear debris to make way for the new park. Continued on Page 2

New  System Finds "Wanderers"

HYDE PARK ­ The Lamoille County Sheriffıs Department (LCSD) has recently become enrolled in Project Lifesaver of Vermont & New Hampshireıs Care Trak System for Wanderers, and the system has come in handy three times so far this summer. Continued on Page 2
